ISLAND
Thassos... The island of sirens... A floating forest... The paradise of Northern Aegean... With its turquoise sea water and wonderful sunsets Thassos seduces each and every visitor, and even the locals themselves. The island is located in northern Greece and separated from the mainland by a short half-hour ferry ride.  The capital of Thassos is Limenas, located on the northern side of the island, and it serves as a port for the ferries arriving from the mainland port of Keramoti. The second in size is Limenaria, a town that is situated in the south of the island and surrounded by the two most popular tourist places, Pefkari and Potos.  The first and only official diving center on the island, “Diver to Diver,” is located in Pefkari, only 35 kilometers away from Limenas. 

DIVE CENTER
  Diver to Diver diving center is located on the beach in Pefkari and surrounded by a wonderful old pine forest. The beach is marked by a blue flag, which signifies that the water is clean.  Before and after diving our guests can indulge in a variety of restaurants, coffee bars, and hotels dotting the Pefkari coast.

Our diving center is ran by qualified instructors with certificates from the international organizations for underwater sports, PADI and CMAS.  Instructors with more than twenty years of diving experience will expertly guide you through the secrets of the emerald waters of Thassos. The Center has all the necessary equipment for diving, one ZODIAC (75HP), a 10-meter, 20-diver boat, a new professional compressor (COLTRI brand), classrooms for instruction and DVD viewing.

All dive courses are done in English, Greek, and Serbian languages.

Diving trips and excursions organized by our center take you to several different places on the island, like Saint Athony’s Bay, Kefalas Bay, Virgin Mary’s Island or Seagull Island. For those interested in deeper dives, we take you to the place known as Volcano’s Tears, where the molten lava once cooled on the touch with the sea.

We also do “relax “diving, which starts right in front of the diving center on the beach, moving towards the little Pefkari island and around it. The return from the island introduces you to many surprises and insights into the quiet underwater life up to 8 meters in depth. “Relax” diving is suitable for those with less experience as well as for those only getting familiar with this exciting sport.

For those interested in getting to know the depths only with a snorkel and mask, we organize excursions allowing you to take photos and survey the wonderful beaches of Thassos, a natural rock basin, a breath-taking view of the St. Archangel Michael monastery, as well to access the holy water spring which flows out of the monastery into the sea.
